How fees work
We bill dental plans for you where we can. Here is how paying works for a family, in the order most parents ask.
Insurance we work with
We send claims for you to PPO dental plans. We are out of network with DHMO plans, and we are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP. If your family has more than one plan, tell us and we will file each person's claim to the right one.

Checking your benefits
Before your first visit we call your plan to check each person's dental benefits and tell you what we found. Benefits can differ from one family member to the next, so give us every card.

If you pay yourself
If you have no dental insurance, you pay at the visit, and you know the fee first. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you're paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you schedule or whenever you ask. For a family, each person gets their own page, so you can plan visit by visit.

Receipts for reimbursement
After a visit we can give you an itemized receipt to send to a plan that reimburses you directly. What the plan pays is the plan's decision.

What the first visit includes
Plan on about an hour a person: a talk about what you want us to know, a cleaning by a hygienist when it's right, an exam by Dr. Casillas, X-rays only if she needs them, and a written estimate for any treatment. Fill in each person's health history on our private patient portal, not by email or in our forms.
